What Has Fear Stolen From You?
Finding Strength, Courage, and Freedom in Christ
Fear is subtle. It creeps into the quiet places of the heart, often unnoticed, until one day we realize how much it has taken from us. Confidence. Joy. Purpose. Peace. The willingness to step forward when God calls.
What has fear stolen from you?
Maybe you’ve felt chained to the opinions of others, waiting for permission or approval before you move, speak, create, or dream. Maybe you’ve carried a testimony that could set another soul free, yet the thought of being seen or heard causes your voice to shrink and your courage to crumble. Fear whispers you are not ready. You are not enough. What will they think? And in that moment, your purpose pauses.
If any part of your spirit feels this, you are not alone. This message is for you.
Fear Is Not From God — Freedom Is
The Word reminds us:
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
Fear was never assigned to you by God. When Christ redeemed you, He broke the chains that once held your voice silent and your purpose bound. Through Him you are called to walk boldly, not trembling in the shadows of uncertainty.
You may feel fear, but fear no longer controls you.
Here is a beautiful truth to rest in:
Fear is a central theme in scripture that is often met with courage and faith. A reminder for every doubt, anxious thought, and fear that creeps in. God understands you may feel fear sometimes, but He promises to stay with you in every moment fear tries to rise.
Fear Steals, But God Restores
Fear is a thief. It steals momentum, confidence, creativity, and the joy that comes from walking out God's calling. But the presence of the Lord restores everything that fear has attempted to take. When panic rises. When doubt grows louder than faith. When the enemy tries to hold you still. The Word becomes your weapon and your shield.
Consider these six verses and what they speak over your spirit;
Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous. God goes with you wherever you go.
Psalm 23:4 I will fear no evil for You are with me. His presence surrounds you even in shadow.
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and salvation. Of whom shall I be afraid? Darkness cannot overpower His light.
Psalm 34:4 8 He delivered me from all my fears. God hears the prayers you whisper and He rescues faithfully.
Psalm 46:1 3 God is our refuge and strength. Even when the earth trembles He holds you steady.
Psalm 56:3 4 When I am afraid, I trust in You.
Fear may whisper but faith speaks louder.
These scriptures are not simply verses to read. They are promises to stand on, protection to cling to, and truth to breathe in when fear tries to take hold. They invite your heart to trust, your mind to rest, and your spirit to rise in faith.
If something within you stirred while reading them, even if only gently, that is God drawing you closer.
